The operator of SHOBO (the "Operator") complies with the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea and related laws, and establishes and publishes this Privacy Policy to protect users' personal information.
"SHOBO" (the "Service") is an investing simulation game set in Korean economic history from 2008 to 2026, and can be used without signing up or logging in.
The Service has no sign-up, login or payment features, and, apart from the launch alert sign-up below, does not directly collect personal information such as names, email addresses or phone numbers from users.
Only if you agree to receive it and sign up through "출시 알림 받기" (launch alert) on the Korean PC screen, the Operator collects the following.
The following information may be collected automatically to improve the Service.
When a user presses the "Create challenge code" button after a game ends, the data below is sent to and stored on an external server (Supabase). This feature works only through the user's explicit action (a button click) and never sends anything automatically.
The Service uses the third-party services below, and each collects and processes information under its own privacy policy.
The Service uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect visitor statistics. Collected items include page views, referral sources, time on site, and browser and device information, processed as anonymous aggregates that do not directly identify individuals. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
The Service uses cookieless Vercel Web Analytics to understand site visits. It may process page views, referrers, browser and device information, and approximate geographic information. Individual in-game trades and challenge-code results are not sent to this analytics service.
When you create a challenge code, the game result data is stored in Supabase (a cloud database service). The stored data contains no personal information, and anyone who knows the challenge code can view that result. Launch alert sign-ups are also stored in Supabase; they cannot be viewed from outside, and only the Operator can access them.
Cookies are small text files a website sends to your browser, used for things like access statistics.
How to refuse cookies:
Launch alert sign-up information is destroyed without delay after the SHOBO 1996 launch alert is sent, and immediately if you withdraw consent before then. Otherwise the Operator does not collect personal information directly. The retention period for information collected by third-party services (such as Google and Vercel) follows those services' policies.
You may exercise the following rights at any time.
The Operator takes the following measures to keep the Service secure.
The Service does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. If we become aware that information from a child under 14 has been collected, we will delete it immediately.
Please send privacy inquiries and requests for access, deletion or suspension of processing to the email below.
If this policy changes, we will announce it in the Service at least 7 days before it takes effect. For important changes (new items collected, sharing with third parties, etc.), we will announce it 30 days in advance.
